Youth and amateur basketball is full of moments that professional photography never covers: the celebration after a good play, the concentration before a free throw, the bench erupting for a teammate who finally makes a shot. Those are the moments I’m after.
All photos are free for the players. No exceptions on that. These kids don’t have photographers at their games. When they see a picture of themselves looking athletic and focused and mid-air, something shifts. They feel like athletes. Some of them use the photos for their socials. Some of them keep them. That’s why this exists.
The site sells digital downloads for anyone else who wants them. Lifetime earnings: about €40. That’s as far as the business side goes.
My wife went back to studying last year, so Fofalhonas is on a break while she has no teams.
