Making Things

Miniatures, clay, acrylics — anything that demands total focus and makes zero pull requests. The best off switch for an overworked engineering brain.

My job is entirely abstract — ideas, systems, conversations, documents. Nothing I build at work has physical weight or stays where I left it.

Making things is the counterweight.

The specific medium has shifted over the years — clay sculpting, acrylic painting, and now mostly miniature assembly — but the reason is always the same. I need something that demands complete attention and gives immediate, physical feedback. Something that cracks if you rush it and doesn’t care how many years of engineering experience you have.

More to come in this space
